Falloween Mantel

Go (here) to enter my free ad space giveaway! Two lucky winners!

I showed you guys my mantel a few weeks ago.  It had a few Halloween items mixed in but it just wasn't cuttin' it. It was a lot more fall and a lot less Halloween.

Here's the before.

Here's the after!

After seeing all of the spooky black sticks, I knew I had to do it.  I waited patiently for a few sticks to fall from the tree in our front yard. I even saw a neighbor had sticks out by their trash can but I refrained from going and snagging it. They would probably be wondering why in the world I needed sticks!

The vase was a clear vase that I got at Salvation Army for like .50 cents. I spray painted it white so that the sticks would pop.  It's kind of clear to towards the top. That was a total accident but I kind of like the sheer look! I then, of course had to add spooky spiders and a spider web!

On the left side of the mantel, you will notice a mod podged pumpkin.  This isn't a new idea but I just love how mine turned out! I used the cast off pumpkin from this project.

I just took some scrapbook paper and tore it in strips.  Then I mod podged the strips to the pumpkin and painted the stem black. This is such an easy way to transform a pumpkin!

I basically added new decor for FREE! LOVE IT!

Do you mix fall and Halloween decor or just do one or the other?
