My Garden

One of the fondest memories I have as a child is spending time with my dad in the garden. Just so long as that time didn't involve pea picking! I like to pick everything else but when you have a garden that is over an acre full of peas, you can count me out!

Last year was my first time to have my very own garden. I grew radishes, watermelon and my very favorite thing ever, tomatoes! Seriously, I will eat 2 or 3 a day just like an apple.

Our backyard isn't very big and the hubs has granted me a designated area to have my garden. If he didn't, then I would probably have a garden half the size of the yard :)

He's actually going to let me plant in another spot where I hope to put purple onion, carrots and radishes.

I've got 7 tomato plants and 4 spots that will hopefully have jalapenos!

I can't wait for a big, red, juicy, homegrown tomato!!

Another thing we did this weekend was work on the front flowerbeds. I don't have a before picture but the after is beautiful!

Super hard work but it paid off! (Pretend you don't see the water hose that I was to lazy to move.)

We trimmed all of the bushes and the monkey grass and put down some pretty mulch.

Do you have a garden?
