Spring Wreath with a Tutorial

You know it's time to take down your current wreath when your mother in law asks your husband why you still have a Christmas wreath hanging up. Darn, you mean my Christmas turned winter wreath didn't pass as a "winter" wreath?

Well when I saw that UCreate's Create With Me for March was a spring wreath, I knew it was time. Time to take down the Christmas winter wreath and time to make a new spring wreath. I also loved the wreath that she showed off by Stone Gable so that was my inspiration!

Here's how I made this wreath:
(Warning: it's a bit rigged together)

I found this large but scrawny wreath form at the Dollar Tree for, you guessed it, a dollar! Usually they only have the small ones so when I saw this one I grabbed it and ran. After I paid of course :) I found the flowers and the grassy/hay stuff at Hobby Lobby. The flowers just screamed Spring to me!

I started off by hot gluing bunches of grassy stuff to the wreath. It was not working! I didn't take a picture of this next part but I ended up getting yarn and tying it around the bunches and then using a little hot glue to hold it in place.

I will find any possible way to get the end result that I want. I'm nothing if not ingenious :)

I then just place the flowers all around. And there you have it, my spring wreath!

I love how big and full it is! You can't even tell that I had a scrawny little wreath form!

Now where is Spring?
