Halloween Direction Post {Tutorial}

DIY Halloween Direction Post

This has probably been one of my favorite Halloween crafts that I’ve ever made! It was actually really easy to make and you don’t even need a Cricut or Silhouette to do the words. I’ve got a great tip that I’ve recently learned!

Curbside Chaos

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done. for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love to visit Curbside Chaos. They have this excellent little tool that tells you exactly what kind of bulb to plant based on where you live and when you want the bulb to bloom. Since I am gardening handicapped, this makes things sooo much easier! I chose that I wanted a bulb to bloom in April and since I live in Northwest Louisiana, my options were Chionodoxa, Crocus, Muscari or Daffodils. The Crocus was my favorite! The Garden Guru guide is really simple to follow. Just choose your country, pick your location in that country, check the type of bulb you want to grow, and then check out the planting guide that shows you how to plant your bulb.

Curbside Chaos

The great yard makeover is complete and you can visit Curbside Chaos to see Ruth's yard makeover. Be sure and check out the video of Taniya Nayak and the makeover process. If I won a $5000 yard makeover, I would be in hog heaven! The first thing I would do is purchase a nice set of lawn furniture. I would then work on the landscaping to make everything beautiful!

If you are on Twitter, every tweet that includes #CurbsideChaos, "Bulbs. Dig, Drop, Done." will donate $1.00 do Rebuilding Together- the nation's leading nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership and revitalize communities.

Be sure to visit www.digdropdone.com to learn more about the woman that you relate to and get great ideas on which bulbs to plant to help keep pesky animals from destroying you yard!

Kmart's Big Layaway Giveaway

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kmart for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Christmas is right around the corner. Once fall starts, I feel like time just flys by! Why not start your shopping early this year at Kmart. They are having a Big Layaway Giveaway!

BLG_Logo_Horizontal.jpg (3 documents, 3 total pages)

They have plenty of holiday gifts to choose from. The great thing is that they also offer great prices. To be honest, I have never used layaway but it sounds like a pretty sweet deal! For instance, I would put something like this TV that is almost $400 on it....

Your purchase has to be at least $300 so it's perfect for big ticket items. Another great thing is that they offer a free layaway. And also, right now, if you put anything on layaway, you have a chance to get the remainder of your purchases payed off during Kmart's Big Layaway Giveaway! There is a new winner every week in every single store until November 17th. That's a lot of chances to win. Here are the dates for the giveaways.

Kmart Free Layaway Grid 09_12.jpg

How awesome would it be to win and get your purchases for free!  You could end up getting some pretty big ticket Christmas items. I know that during the holiday cruch time, everyone could use a little extra money. If you are already going to be purchasing these items, you might as well put them on layaway at Kmart, just so that you have the opportunity to enter this great giveaway. You never know how much money you could end up saving in the long run!

How to Make Wooden Mirrors

DIY Wooden Mirrors

Instead of doing clothes for refashion week, I decided to use wood and refashion it into decorative mirrors. I had some MDF leftover from another project and I picked up the mirrors from the dollar store. They are technically candle holder plates. So the total cost of this project was $3.

These are actually really easy to make. All you need is a jigsaw and some wood.

Beauty in the Fall with Miracle-Gro

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Scotts Miracle-Gro for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Everyone always gears up for planting during the spring months. Did you know that you can also have beautiful plants in the Fall months? Find beauty in the Fall by adding color to your front porch with mums or pansies in pots. They add the perfect fall touch to any front porch! Fall gardening doesn't have to be difficult. All you need is a little Miracle-Gro to make your plants thrive. I have a black thumb when it comes to potted plants, so I need all of the help that Miracle-Gro has to offer!

Choosing fall mums

I absolutely LOVE the look of using pumpkins as planters. It's so colorful and just screams fall! Just add a little Miracle-Gro Potting Mix to make your plants look luscious all season long. It feeds plants for up to six months by a continous release of plant food that improves drainage and air flow.

All you need to do is cut off the top, clean out the pumpkin and then just place your plant in the pumpkin! Easy!

Be sure to check out all that Miracle-Gro has to offer by checking out the Miracle-Gro Facebook page. You can talk with other people who are gardening and planting for all. You can even get some great tips on how to keep your plants thriving throughout the fall months! I know that I need any help I can get with planting since I have a black thumb!

Buffalo Wild Wings: A football lover's paradise

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Buffalo Wild Wings for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Football season is here! I know many people are super excited. I'm not the biggest football fan out there but I do watch the occasional game with my husband, who is the biggest football lover you can imagine. We are Saint's fan's so we usually catch those games for sure. The thing about football is that it can consume your entire weekend.

bdubs_newlogo_black_hor.jpg

But at Buffalo Wild Wings, also known as B-Dubs, you can bring the whole family together and still enjoy watching not only your favorite team but many teams at once! Not only do you get to catch all of the game, you also get to chow down on the most delicious wings you could imagine. Wings are my favorite food to get while watching a game. Of course, the wings wouldn't be complete without their delicious wedge french fries covered in cheese. Add a side of ranch for dipping and you are good to go! If you aren't a wing fan, don't worry, they have plenty of other options on the menu!

Buffalo Wild Wings is great for the family because dad is happy, mom doesn't have to cook and the kids get to eat fun food! It's also a great place to go for a dude's night out. Just send your husband out with some buddies and then you get to take over the T.V. for the night :) Sounds like a plan in my book!

Protect the football. Get to B-Dubs for some delicious food that the whole family will enjoy... together!

How to make a pallet trough with dividers {Power tools not needed}

Divided Pallet trough

I feel like that title doesn’t make a whole lot of sense but you’ll understand exactly what I mean in a minute! After seeing Thrifty D├ęcor Chick and Christina’s Adventures trough’s, I knew that I had to have one. I just wanted mine to be a little bit different. The main difference was that I wanted sections to set my turquoise ball jars in rather than one long trough.
