First of all, in case you didn’t know, I am somewhat of a grammar nerd. Not anything to out of the ordinary but I try my best to write my best and I am that person that notices when other people mess up. Sorry!
So here is my HUGE mess up. When I created this blog, I made the biggest typo of my life. In my blog name URL! And it’s been that way for 2 years.
It read www.youngancrafty.blogspot.com
Young an Crafty? Doesn’t make much sense. I totally missed the D on and. Who does that!? I think I was just so excited about starting a blog that I hit submit before I changed my mind. And yes, it has bugged me for 2 years.
All of these folks were switching to .com’s and Word Press. Well, I didn’t want to go to Word Press. I like Blogger and I have never had a problem with it. So my messed up blog name URL stayed because I thought the only way you could be a .com was through Word Press.
Until today! I read this great tutorial over at Somewhat Simple that said you don’t have to switch. That’s right, I’m still on blogger but I am now an official .com. And this time, I got it right! I am now www.youngandcrafty.com. It seems so much more official now.
What I did was buy my domain name through godaddy.com. After fumbling around and trying to figure this mess out while making a mess, I finally just called support at Godaddy and they directed me HERE. All you do is type in your domain (www.youngandcrafty.com). Then go to blogger, settings, advanced settings and type in your domain again. BAM, you are set up.
Now I just need to do something about my email address. It’s still email@example.com. I bought email capabilities through Godaddy.com so I might be switching over. We will see how much of a headache that is…
So my words of advice if you want to create a blog is… Check your spelling in your title! And then recheck it again :)
And maybe a third time wouldn’t hurt either.
Just speaking from experience.

This was my submission for sentimental in the So you think you’re Crafty competition. One of my friends wanted something to display his race bibs and medals. He had the idea of using a door knob as the medal hanger and I loved the idea. This was really easy to make.

So what the heck are Gardenieres?! Well they are hand picked green thumbs led by William Moss. They are real-life gardening enthusiasts who know a ton about gardening. They are covering the country inspiring us all to get out and garden.
Here is Gina Iliopoulos one of the newest Gardieners.
Gina created a rose garden from seed. For me, roses are terrifying to grow! That would be a neat project to take on and try to see if I could actually grow my own roses. The great thing is that I can have all the help I need at my fingertips. The Miracle-Gro Facebook page offers great tips and advice for gardner beginners like myself.
Miracle Gro Garden Soil will also be a product that will help roses grow to their maximum potential. This Miracle Gro product is perfect for planting things in the ground (rather than in a pot). It improves existing soil to grow strong roots. It also feeds the plants for three months. Miracle Gro LiquaFeed is also a great product that as easy as watering your flowers. It feeds plants through leaves and roots. It is also safe to use with all flowers, vegetable, trees and shrubs. So you don't have to worry about killing anything!
If you want to see some seriously beautiful yards, you can Find beauty in the Fall over at Scotts. Wow, those people really know what they are doing!
