This was a really hard title post! I’m not really sure if this recipe has a name. It’s something that I’ve always remembered my parents doing with fresh cucumbers from the garden. I used to think it was disgusting but I guess my taste buds are evolving! I’ve literally had this refreshing cucumber mixture every.single.day. It makes a great side dish to any meal.
All I can say is, don’t knock it till you try it :)
You’ve probably got all of these ingredients on hand already!
Here’s how you make it:
Make sure you peel and slice your cucumber in pretty thing pieces. You don’t have to peel it but if you don’t the mixture might be bitter.
Grab a standard glass and pour milk halfway up. Add about a tbsp of sugar as well as salt and pepper to taste.
Begin slowly pouring white vinegar while stirring briskly until the glass is full. Stir the entire time you are pouring.
Place your sliced cucumbers in a bowl and pour your mixture over the top. Refrigerate until nice and cold.
Enjoy your refreshing treat!!
Cucumbers seem to always remind me of summer time!
