So, yeah, I sort of slacked off on these posts. I’ve only got a few more tips that I would like to share anyway.
With the smart phone craze, there are so many wonderful and helpful apps that keep me in check when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle. I thought I would share with you some of my favorite and a few others that I’ve heard of.
Oh, and good news for those of you who don’t have smart phones. Most of these apps are available via the internet as well. No excuses!
My Fitness Pal
If you’ve been following along with these posts then you’ve already heard me talk about his one HERE. This app helped me count my daily calories. You can type in just about any type of food possible and there will be calorie content for it. Available as an app and online.
The Livestrong app is a lot like My Fitness Pal. It’s by Lance Armstrong and is also a great tool that’s available both as an app and online.
LOVE RunKeeper. Like super love it! I use it every.single.time. I run. RunKeeper is a GPS that keeps track of mileage, time and time per mile. You can use it for many different sports besides just running.
I believe my sister likes this app better than RunKeeper. It’s basically the same thing. The added bonus is that you can look up different paths to run or bike. This would be great if you were going out of town and needed a trail!
I’ve talked about Bodyrock.tv HERE. These are AWESOME and QUICK workouts that total about 15 minutes. You can do these while watching TV. If you don’t have a smart phone, not to worry, they have a website.
Restaurants Unified Lifestyle
This app is amazing. You can look up the calorie content for many different meals at all types of restaurants. It can be fast food or sit down dining. Of course, the app contains chain restaurants.
This app is basically the same as the one above. I use both. Sometimes I can find out more using one or the other.
