This is my first ever attempt at sewing a skirt. It turned out alright. Definitely far from perfect but it’s wearable. The only part I really messed up on was the zipper. The top part of the zipper looks a little rough so I’ll probably throw on a cardigan or blazer to hide it. Problem solved.
I received this Waverly fabric in honor of their 90th anniversary from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores. My challenge was to think outside of the box and make something through sewing. I would have loved to use this to make pillows but they didn’t go with anything. That’s why I thought this fabric would make a perfect skirt.
Between September 1-22, Jo-Ann and Waverly are hosting a Waverize It! Facebook contest. The grand prize for the Facebook contest is a whopping $1000 in Waverly fabric and a $250 Jo-Ann gift card! Make sure you visit HERE to learn all the details about this amazing contest.
