I don’t know if it was because it was the final day, if I had just gotten used to drinking for every meal, or I knew I was going to eat supper, but Day 3 wasn’t so bad. I didn’t think of quitting one time because I knew it was the last day :)
Here’s how today went:
Juice 1- 7:30
1 bunch Kale
3 large handfuls spinach
Although this one is very green, it was so refreshing. It was really easy to drink. The lemon adds the perfect touch. I would totally drink this one again. I did not have a headache when I woke up this morning and I was not really hungry.
Juice 2- 11:00
3 peeled oranges
This was not the original recipe. The original called for 2 carrots and 1 sweet potato. Instead I added kale and parsley. After the chalky taste of the sweet potato one yesterday, I wasn’t going there again. And we’ve already discussed my dislike of carrot juice. This juice was very good and I would definitely make it again. I was hungry but not starving. No headache
Juice 3- 1:00
Not a juice but a smoothie
1 cup berries
blend until smooth
I love smoothies so I knew this one wouldn’t be a problem. I chose to “eat” it rather than drink it. It was really delicious and I’ll use this recipe to replace meals in the future. Since the banana wasn’t frozen but the berries were, it was somewhat like ice cream but not near as thick. I was hungry and did not have a headache.
Juice 4- Did not drink
1 whole cantaloupe (rind and all)
I love, love, love cantaloupe. The juice, however, was just OK. I didn’t end up drinking it because I wasn’t hungry and I knew I would be eating a meal. Still no headache!
Dinner at 6:30
I had tortilla soup for dinner and it was delish! Felt good to actually EAT.
Overall I lost a total of 3 pounds. Tomorrow I am going to write a post of what I would do differently and my overall feeling of the whole thing.
Anyone tried it yet? Anyone??
