A few months ago, my husbands grandmother passed away. She was a wonderful and gracious woman. She also loved jewelry and had tons of it. The only problem was that all of her earrings were clip on earrings. I found a few that I liked and decided to try and convert them into stud earrings.
This is actually pretty simple and you don’t even need to know how to make jewelry! This whole project took me about 5 minutes.
You will need stud earrings, E600 glue, plier snippers, and clip on earrings.
Take your snippers and cut the clip on part of the earring off.
Take your earrings backs and use your E600 glue and glue them to the backs of your earrings. (I am aware that I put gold earrings with silver backs. I didn’t think it made much of a difference since it will be through my ear and you won’t see it!) I let them dry overnight just to make sure they were good and stuck.
I see clip on earrings all the time for cheap at garage sales or estate sales. This is such an easy way to have vintage earrings that can be worn by people with their ears pierced.
