Young and Crafty’s Sister

HI!!!  I am Brittany and am so excited to be joining my sister Hannah on Young and Crafty!!  I am 17 months younger than Hannah and we have been best friends for a long time, with the exception of those awkward middle school years Smile.  I think we both get our crafty spirit from our mom who always had some type of project in the works at the dining table.

Although we live 8 hours apart, we enjoy spending time together whenever we get the chance.  What better place than poolside eating crawfish!!

I currently live in San Antonio, Texas working as a Pediatric Registered Dietitian.  I LOVE working with kids and am passionate about food and cooking.  Before moving to San Antonio I lived in Conroe, Texas while obtaining my Master’s Degree in Dietetics.  Prior to that I lived in my favorite city in Texas…. College Station.  I am a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie class of 2011, WHOOP!  I am a little obsessive with all things Aggie, maroon, and Texas A&M, which I am sure you will come to learn through various projects and post such as this maroon and white T-shirt scarf from a previous post.

I feel it’s necessary to mention my boyfriend Brent.  Many projects I will be posting will be for his new house in Conroe (our future home if he will propose already!).  We met in 2007 when I was a freshmen at A&M and started dating in 2012.

I have grown up going to garage sales with my mom, grandma, and sister and still enjoy bargain hunting.  Brent and I love going to estate sales as we decorate his house on a budget.  I am sure many projects will be before & after photos from “treasures” I have discovered and refurbished/repurposed just like this metal table turned fabulous sewing table.

Blogging is overwhelming and exciting all at the same time.  Hannah has taught me so much already with her 3 years of experience and I couldn't choose a better person to blog with!  Stay tuned for my very first project next week!!
